SHARON AEBI
the Artist
Sharon has enjoyed many creative accomplishments
in her life. Her biggest accomplishment was raising her six children. She very
much enjoyed their company and sharing the wonders of childhood with them. She
watched each of them grow to maturity and become happy responsible people. This
was indeed a blessing.
As a painter and printmaker, Sharon attended
many different art and printmaking classes at several universities, and received
a number of art degrees. During this phase of her creative being, Sharon had
several one-man art exhibits, and will always cherish these as major accomplishments.
In 1994, Sharon received "Art student
of the Year" at Western Oregon University. This remains as another of her
major and cherished accomplishments. There is an incredible amount of energy
and dedication that goes into the process of earning your degrees at this academic
level.
"As an artist, it takes energy, time
and thought, to put together an entire work of art. The artist hopes that the
over-all plan turns out as you have perceived and others will be enriched by
what your work is trying to communicate."
These days, Sharon has joined forces in
life, love, and creative energy, with her husband, Robert Coulson. The two are
part of a Jazz Duo - The Aebi/Coulson Jazz Group, Sharon being the accomplished
Jazz Pianist of the Group.
